Working with Shame ONLINE TRAINING
Friday morning 9:30am - 1:30pm, AEDT March 26 2021 | “Toxic Shame is the core motivator of the superachieved and the underachieved, the star and the scapegoat, the righteous and the wretched, the powerful and the pathetic” John Bradshaw, Healing the Shame that Binds You.
Shame has many “faces” and can be hard to shift and difficult to work with. Shame can be fuelled by or held in various modes, creating “shame cycles”. Adequate intervention requires accurate assessment.
This workshop considers the survival strategy associated with shame states, its many manifestations, including somatic presentations, Autonomic arousal Indicators, and shame dynamics in relationships.
Processing shame within the therapeutic relationship and work shopping limited reparenting “resistence” is discussed.
This workshop is aimed at those who have some Schema Therapy knowledge
Date for training is Friday 26th of March 9.30am to 1.30pm.

The total for this one day training is 249* until February 28 2021 (Early Bird), $299 thereafter*

Who is eligible to attend:
This training is for therapists who are registered with their professional body, including psychologists, social worker and psychiatrists.
For registrations outside of Australia:
The training will occur 9:30am-1:30pm Australian Eastern Standard Time which includes participant interaction in the dyadic work, so please ensure you are able to attend for the full training.
